As the days pass by, the 2017 NPAS season appears closer and closer on the horizon, therefore it's without reluctance that we could refuse the chance to bolster our growing oval division with one of the best upcoming drivers on the scene, a driver who needs little introduction. Logan Clampitt, aged just sixteen years old is already a household name in the circle of circles, courtesy of his sharp rise on arguably iRacing's biggest stage of all, and there's more to come.

Hailing from South California, Logan's humble introduction to sim racing began - like many of us - of the console variety, casually picking up NASCAR 08 for fun. Eventually he took the plunge to iRacing in 2013, not long prior to his 13th birthday and set about a more competitive streak on the ovals, making immediate progress. However, aside from his primary focus on oval, he's also a quick cookie on road circuits too, boasting an impressive road racing resume attributing 7800 iRating to his name (more than most of our dedicated road division), but still dwarfed by his own 9200 iRating on oval and giving him the accolade of highest combined iRating on the entire service, out of 50,000+ active members.

Parallel to his growing reputation, Logan also has the perk of carrying a universal nickname amongst the community, commonly referred to as "ClampNation". His debut season in NPAS 2016 highlighted his potential, finishing 17th in the standings and retaining his license despite missing one quarter of the season. Undoubtedly the highlight of his campaign involved his maiden victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, holding off the two charging championship contenders, Ray Alfalla and our very own PJ Stergios right to the flag, bringing the ClampNation factor to the furore.

Logan will be joining PJ and Jake Stergios, Casey Tucker, Brandon Schmidt, Nolan Scott and Phil Diaz to fly the ineX colours for NPAS 2017 and we hope for an even better year this time, welcome aboard Logan!
